Delegation of Distinction Explained

DELEGATION OF DISTINCTION EXPLAINED

The Delegation of Distinction program is a way for California YMCA Youth & Government to recognize the delegations that best exemplify our programs and mission. To be selected as a Delegation of Distinction, delegations will need to submit an application that will be made available shortly after T&E II. The MLC’s Advisor Development Team will review applications and supporting documentation during the Sacramento conference and recipients will be announced at the MLC’s Closing Joint session. After reviewing the selection criteria (and their explanations), if you still have questions, please send them to advisors@calymca.org.

Honesty

  • Voted in statewide elections (at least 90% voted).

    • EXPLANATION: Y&G actively encourages people to participate in the government process. One of those activities is voting. During T&E I, and the MLC at least 90% of your delegation’s delegates need to vote. Abstentions do NOT count as voting.
