Q: Other than my advisor duties, what should I be doing at conference?

A: During the conferences, it's important that you (and your advising team) make the rounds and watch your kids during session. Not only is that a way to make sure all of your kids MADE it to session, but also to get a better understanding of what they do during conference. That way, when you see them in between sessions, you can talk to them about what they did/thought about session. This shows them that you care enough about them to be paying attention to them.
