Elevator
I propose that we (we being the staff or deans) have access to the keys, similar to what the fire department would use, for controlling the elevators. At the beginning of an elevator duty, the on-duty adviser would get the key, then return it as soon as they are off duty.
This would not only speed up the unnecessary delay, of stopping on every single floor with a full elevator, for the MLC community, but I think that it will go a long way with the general public staying at the hotel who instead of taking a 20 second elevator ride, end up standing there for 7 or 8 minutes.
I know that there will have to be guidelines put in-place, or even some fire code preventing us from doing it, but just thought that I would throw it out there.

Hi Shawn, I wanted to follow up and let you know that I tried everything I could to get the hotel to allow this. The hotel would not do it. I have put it in my notes again to request it at our hotel meeting; but it is extremely unlikely. I wholly agree with the idea, it's unfortunate we can't make it work. Thank you for the suggestion!
